One nice new idea in 6.6.1 is the unbilled charges report. I get this in my messages each morning. I have caught not an insignificant number of missed charges for flu shots already so it is a money saver. I love the concept. Unfortunately, it has a bug which after wading through a bunch of supposed unbilled charges I think I have figure out the problem. I thought I would save the rest of you the time by passing it on.
It appears to be counting all Medicare Rxs that are sent in as the G8553 incentive that should have been billed even if you didn't see the patient. So all Medicare Rxs that are sent in (not sure if it is all or just some) are showing up on the unbilled charges report. I submitted a bug report. I told them to just dump G8553 from the program since we only need to bill 10 in a 6 month period to get the incentive. No big deal if we miss even most of them.
