Our office just received notification to upgrade to AC 6.6.1!! I'll try a self install and update all as to progress. This update creates link to NYU's HIE for all that need it.

Has the pediatric immunization issue been resolved? I've held off on upgrading from 6.3.3.

I received the email newsletter announcing the official release of 6.6.1. Unfortunately the link in the announcement (to the Client page) still only downloads version 6.3.3.

In regards to the announcement in the email:
"We have officially released Amazing Charts EHR v6.6.1 to General Availability! You can download it from the Client Portal or make an appointment with Technical Support for a hand-holding upgrade.
This release includes Surescripts 10.6 certification, NYU-Langone Medical Center HIE support, vitals device interfaces (Welch-Allyn and Midmark devices), as well as the resolution of more than 280 issues."
It would be nice to know what the 280 issues are. I guess I was right when I told the guardian angels that there was something wrong.

Has the pediatric immunization issue been resolved? I've held off on upgrading from 6.3.3. They resolved it by turning off the auto posting of the wrong codes. You have the option of turning it on if needed in the admin section

I installed 6.3.3 (nothing said about 6.6.1)but when I use the tuner I keep getting this message, "Database tuned failed. All queries combined using a UNION, INTERSECT OR EXCEPT operator must have an equal number of expressions in their target lists." Does anyone know what that means? Big mistake to install on the weekend.

No, but a) did you try to run it and did it work? and b) if you call ( (866) 382-5932) and leave a message, they will get back to you off hours, hopefully it's a simple solution If it works, it may be worth touching bases with them tomorrow. It might work despite the error. If it doesn't work, then you need immediate help.

In regards to the announcement in the email:
"We have officially released Amazing Charts EHR v6.6.1 to General Availability! You can download it from the Client Portal or make an appointment with Technical Support..." This was one of 3 updates for my various gadgets in the last few weeks. The "End User" experience varied: -- Apple: iOS 7 automatically downloaded to my phone, installed with one click, and installed updates for all my apps. -- Microsoft: It took about a dozen clicks to get past all the glitzy webpages on the wonders of Windows 8, but it painlessly downloaded and installed on my ASUS Slate tablet. Windows 8.1 still sucks, but the upgrade was easy. -- Amazing Charts: I got the email newsletter, but the links opened the client page for version 6.3.3. Later I logged onto AC, and was notified that a new "beta version" was available. I clicked the link, and the same 6.3.3 download page opened. Then I tried to run the Database Tuner (to fix the Rx refill counter bug) for version 6.5.5P1, which I had installed with the help of Tech Support 6 weeks ago. I got a message the I was using the wrong Database Tuner. Sigh... Houston, we have a problem.

Dear Clients,
Our sincere apologies about the mix-up with our newsletter. Our enthusiastic Marketing group sent it prematurely, before the Client Portal was fully tested and ready. We are putting systems in place to ensure that this kind of mistake does not happen again in the future. The portal has been updated for V6.6 and is ready for installation!
Thanks, Charlie Schachter Senior Director of Marketing

I downloaded and upgraded my "server computer" and other office computers (desktops and laptop - we have a peer to peer network) last night. Used the link in the e-mail. Pretty straightforward. Followed the instructions, including tuning the database. Just make sure you turn off your antiviral program first. Now we just have to figure out how to "migrate the insurances".

Yes we need more instruction on insurance migration. It is not at all clear.

What's in the new 6.6.1 that makes the upgrade at this time worth the hassle? NB

The best thing as far as I am concerned is that the med database has been updated. FINALLY.

The best thing as far as I am concerned is that the med database has been updated. FINALLY. The MEDS database should not have to wait for a new release to add the new medications, these should be on a regular schedule, at least annually, better quarterly. Greg

Does anyone know how/if we can get a medication database update without upgrading from 6.3 ? The 6.3 medication database is very outdated.

Continue to have issues with immunization codes being billed when decision support is updated for flu vaccine received outside office Do not see any fix with the upgrade to 6.6.1 Also have 3 errors with med updates, rx status manager and renewal manager ever since the upgrade. Guardian angel says ignore them Is anyone else having these issues and any fixes other than turning off auto billing?
