Where do the photos go that you can import into the objective part of the note next to Physical Exam? I can import the photo, find it under "Pictures" while building the note, but can't retrieve it when I go back to find the completed note under Past Encounters. Same problem with the other tabs like Illustrations and Confidential. Is there a way to find data under these tabs after the note is closed out?

Toby,
On the most recent encounter page, highlight the date the picture was taken then click on the "Pictures" tab that is located in between the "physical exam" and "Illustrations" tab. Your picture will be there.
There's no way to know if a picture exists in the note without clicking on the individual days and doing what I described above. That part of AC could use some work.

I found if I wanted pictures of lesions, sutures, etc - the best thing is to import into imported items and label them as to what they are - make note in plan.

Toby,
How are you importing pictures using Updox? I'm just curious

Marty: I no longer use Updox (did use it when I was solo). I take photos with iPhone, e-mail them to myself, save to My Scansnap file (Fujitsu scanner file), import them from this file.

I just take the photo with my iphone, email it to myself (without any identifying items - email isn't exactly HIPPA compliant) then just import using AC too - works pretty well, image quality with the iphone 4S is fairly good for derm photos (not a dermascope but decent).
