This has been like this for a while and I never bothered to ask why.
In some patient's charts, when I open the Transaction Status page for e-Rxs the window displays everything except for the name of the pharmacy it was sent to. I.e. the 'Sent To' column is blank. Is there something wrong or does AC randomly choose not to display the name of the pharmacy although it is saved in the chart under Preferred pharmacy.
Its the same even if I go to Prescription Status from the main window OR I right click on History for a Rx in the patient's eRx window. The Sent To pharmacy is left blank and then we have to close out and check in Demographics for the preferred pharmacy.
Should I contact AC support or is this a known issue they haven't fixed?

I have the same complaint and it's been that way ever since I've been using AC.

Hmm. Did you ever report it to AC?

Sometimes they show up, more often they do not. I had never reported it, but just did.

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them

We have reported the continued issue of the missing Pharmacy Name with EVERY new version since AC began electronic transmission for prescriptions. Each time Tech support replies that this is a known bug and it will be addressed in the next version.

Aren't the known bugs the easiest ones to fix?

To be honest, I only care that they know about it. If they haven't addressed it then either its too much to fix or its not that important to them. I'd rather them let this one slip by as I'd appreciate more a PM module to be addressed than a small nuisance like this one.

They know about it, they should fix it.

Bert-
What is your take on why they have not fixed it? You have been around much longer than most of us.

My take is that they are aware of some of these bugs and not aware of others. This one is a known bug and, as such, should either be fixed or someone should fill us in as to why it can't
Unfortunately, while I don't think it is the perfect excuse, CCHIT, MU, MU2, etc. is what they quote on why they can't go back and fix the older things or even the newer ones. While I understand their dilemma, I think it would be in their best interest to have a dedicated developmental team so that on each version you would see something like the following:
Installed link to PM Made strides toward fixing the spell check Fixed Send To feature in ePrescribe Etc. May three more features Bug 1 fixed Bug 2 fixed Bug 3 fixed Various other bugs
So, continue working forward to meet MU criteria and portal, etc. But continue to fix some of the things the users have asked for.
But, they continue to fix on "What has to be done." Well, they have to be done, but so do obvious bugs and recommendations.

The above are examples. They are not to be taken literally.
