We are in the process of certifying for meaningful use. Since we generate a fair number of referals to other specialists, we figured menu 8, "Transition of Care Summary" would be a straightforward criteria to meet. However, the folks to whom we refer patients cannot accept XML files as that summary, and so we must fax the information. The only way I see that Amazing Charts will track this menu item is if I export the CCD and I select "Transfer of Care" in the Reason for Release.
What I'd love to be able to do, is use that HIPAA Alert: Release of Information box to track records that are printed, not just exported. Is that possible? How are all of you tracking printed information?
