This might be a newbie question... 1) I am not sure how we can work around this, but it is WAY too easy for someone to click on the schedule and drag an appointment around and then it just occurs, or delete the appointment by accident. Once the move occurs, it is permanent. My staff accidentally moved a bunch of appointments around by accident.
Is there any way to force a prompt like:
Do you want to move this appointment? Yes/ No
Do you want to delete this appointment? Yes/NO
2) CAN WE LOCK the appointments on a particular day? I have appointments from 1 month ago and I want to lock the schedule so that I can go back and see how many patients were booked that day, etc....

Dear VMan:
Welcome to the user board and to AC.
We haven't had problems with staff accidentally moving patients around on the schedule. But if you go on the top of your screen to: Edit>My Preferences>User Preferences then unclick the "Appointment Change Window". Now whenever someone tries to change an appointment a message box will pop up. After a while your staff will probably find this annoying and want to turn it off.
The other thing that might help is to have the Schedule screen set to show just a day not a week--less chance of appointments getting shuffled accidentally.
With best wishes,
John

We used to have this problem alot. That is one reason we don't use the AC Scheduler. If you have Updox, you can use the Updox scheduler.
This will not make it impossible for people to move an appointment by accident, but it greatly reduces they likelihood that they will since they generally won't be clicking on the schedule as much.

We have the same issue at our office. I, myself, have accidently removed an appt when actually going to do something else. Just a short move of my mouse and I bump the left click button (bumping it on the keyboard). I don't have long arms and get annoyed having to pick up the mouse to allow more move room for the mouse. It doesnt take much to have this happen. I tried that step up above, the box was not checked. Once you start the delete (by accident) clicking the red "x" doesnt even cancel out the move.
