hi all, A strange thing has happened . I am getting recurring error messages when I try to open AC version 6.3.3- initially it was error 1304, now it is a windows installer error ' windows installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\programfiles\Amazing charts\Unregcomclasses.bat. I have been using this computer with no problems in the past . My antivirus was flagging some AC .exe files , but I disabled it and still the same error. I tried running AC as administrator with no luck . I am at a loss to understand why there should be a installer error when I am not trying to install anything merely opening AC. AS this was intermittent initially I managed to move my database from this 'main' computer to another and all my other workstations seem to work well with the new server. But this error preceded my database move . Have put in a call to tech support but would appreciate any thoughts from the tech gurus thanks bala

Did you get this fixed. Seems like a big deal. Any tech guys want to chime in here. Certainly that's not me. Dave

This was the error message when Microsoft Security Essentials was blocking Amazing Carts after a past MSE update. You have to go into MSE and make AC an exception. There is no way to "disable" MSE without uninstalling it. Here was the info at that time. It may be a similar issue.

thanks guys AC techs worked on my computers all day they were able to redirect that computer to my server but now AC on the server has the following issues- 1. when I click on the prescribe button the prescriber does not open 2. CCD report does not generate 3. I get this annoying circle and not the cursor when I open the charts AC tech was unsuccessful in repairing these errors and sent it up the food chain for advice major disruption to my practice as I was seeing patients 5 hours still dont know what the problem is wonder if uninstalling and re installing is the best choice at this point. Does anybody know if uninstalling will also remove the data or can I do this safely? help from Sandeep, James, Indy , Bert and others would be much appreciated Did not know that moving databases was so traumatic! Dear Bala, Two suggestions: run a free bootable anti-virus check and run tweaking.com's free windows repair. *** Your anti-virus was complaining and your problem is widespread, so it's worth running another anti-virus, preferably on a bootable CD or USB--get a second opinion that your system isn't infected. Avira offers an .exe version of its .iso file that will automatically burn the .iso to a bootable CD for you: http://www.avira.com/en/download/product/avira-rescue-systemIf you know how to burn .iso images or make bootable USB sticks, here are some other free bootable anti-virus programs: http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd-download http://research.pandasecurity.com/panda-safecd-4-4-3-0 http://download.bitdefender.com/rescue_cd/v2/ ftp://rescuedisk.kaspersky-labs.com/rescuedisk/*** When Windows 7, Vista, or XP systems mysteriously refuse to install or update for my clients, I routinely reach for this program: http://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.htmlInstall it and run it as administrator. It fixes lots of problems with ownership, rights, attributes, and registration. Cheers, Carl Fogel
