hi,
apparently HIPAA final omnibus rule requires updated business associate agreements with all vendors by Sept. Does anyone know how we get a signed agreement from AC
In the past we were unable to get signed agreements as it was done online
any help much appreciated

It's just there were a lot of posts yesterday so it fell to the bottom. Didn't get deleted.

Just a thought. Since all of us must send AC a BAA to sign, is there any way they can generate a generic one to send to all of us? I'm sure that is not the intent of the powers that be, however it would be more time efficient for all involved. If not, where would AC like us to fax our BAA's to get signed.

Thanks for bringing this to the forefront. I see little point to BAA's, but I am not an attorney. It just one more piece of legislation that attempts to get small practices to throw in the towel. Meaningless but mandatory.

would somebody from AC comment on this ?

The Business Associate Agreement can be found for Version 6.5.6 in the Amazing Chart Program Files
(your drive:)/Program Files/ Amazing Charts/BAA. I am not sure it is in the earlier versions. I have attached it to this post.

thanks Rick. I am using version 6.3.3. I e mailed Tech support at AC to see how we could get a signed BAA but so far no reply . If anyone has had success with getting a signed agreement , would appreciate letting me know

For 6.3.3 the BAA in the the AC folder in program files also. C:\Program Files (x86)\Amazing Charts\BAA.pdf

That I don't know. But I think AC should be able to provide one. I have asked Updox before and they complied.

This is strange. I am not seeing any BAA in my AC folder only a EULA

Amazing Charts will provide a signed BAA upon request. You can email Support and we will provide you with the signed BAA within 48 hours.

Oops I guess I spoke too soon. I had installed V6.5 on this computer and removed it and the BAA pdf stayed there. I check another computer and yeah, there's no BAA, only EULA for v6.3.3.

Just contacted AC so should be getting the BAA in 48 hours.
I was not aware of this.
