An Amazing Charts automated process failed.

Service Task Name: MedsUpdates
Service Task Description: Update codified tables used by Amazing Charts (e.g. the pharmacy table)

This service task has 7 consecutive failures.
Error Details:
Error updating MEDS tables.

The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_InterfacePartners_Components". The conflict occurred in database "Meds", table "dbo.Components", column 'ComponentId'.
The statement has been terminated.

You are going to need to get AC support involved to fix this.

FK conflicts on inserts won't be resolved by themselves.

It will have to get passed up the food-chain in support to someone who is familiar with the DB structures, and can script/run the corrective commands.

Based on the error provided, it will continue to occur regularly until AC fixes it.

Since it seems to be showing in multiple locations, the question is whether they can resolve this during the application "check-in" with the mothership, or if each site will have to be repaired individually.

Hello Everyone,

We would like to apologize for the alarming error message you received this morning.
The good news is we have addressed the problem and it will be resolved without any action on your part or requiring a login with Tech Support.

This issue was being caused by a recently added record to the meds update server. We've since adjusted the meds update to avoid adding this record and it should now be able to run correctly at your next scheduled update time. You may check and/or adjust this time in Admin Options -> Automated Tasks

[Linked Image from ]

Within 24 hours at your next scheduled database update, this issue should be completely resolved for the afflicted practices.

We were able to test the fix with one of the practices experiencing the error, by forcing an update which ran correctly.

If the issue persists, please contact Tech Support.

Thank you for your continued support,
Craig@AC

Here is an example of why it is helpful to post problems on the board. Once this is reported by multiple people in multiple locations, it becomes clear that it is an AC system problem and not a local computer issue.

Indy, it is kind of creepy that the "mothership" has its tentacles in our systems daily.

The board members are also providing an invaluable service to AC by giving them an early heads-up as soon as the problem surfaces so that their front-line staff can be alerted, their Ops and Dev team are made aware that they have a problem to fix, and your humble servant was able to spread some 'oil of comfort' on the water over the weekend while also pointing them in the direction of resolution.

It is less creepy once you know that it is there, and if at some time future the call to the mothership becomes an issue, it is easy enough to disable.

"oil of comfort" ??

Now, where does that phrase come from?

Well, time is a wasting reading these fun posts, but I am off for a "mental health day" (one of my medical school classmates always used this term, he later became a psychiatrist), the weather is beautiful with a capital B here in Baltimore, and I am going swimming.

Hate to be paranoid, but I hope this wasn't pertaining to me.

Naah, we know your tentacles don't extend beyond the user board, the fax board, the patient contents, wait a minute maybe it did apply to you ... wink

Bert,

"Mothership" followed Indy's reference to AC central and invokes a bit of the paranoia about AC collecting our data.

My other comment was to weigh in on the debate about whether it is helpful to post problems on the board. I think it is helpful. Here was a case where, over the weekend, one could have taken comfort from these posts that the issue was based at AC, and not in our own systems.

Is there a debate? When would it not be beneficial to post problems on the board? I post problems all the time. Solve a few now and then.

For a moment, I thought you were referring to the New Crop thread as a debate. There was no debate there.
