This is happening only under one doctor's sign in at my office. When he is signed in and is looking at an imported item and tries to maximize the window or zoom in from within the viewer, AC freezes and he has to force quit it and restart. If he maximizes AC window while looking at Most Recent Encounter and THEN looks at Imported items, it does not freeze. If another provider signs in on his laptop and does same operation, it does not freeze.
Anybody have solutions?

The bug is with Adobe Reader X. Downgrade to IX and the problem should go away.

I don't believe that is it because all computers are running Adobe XI. Also bug only occurs when one provider is signed into AC. Does not occur when another provider into AC on same computer. Freeze does not occur on any other computer in office.

Is the user using the same windows credentials or different credentials?

Thanks for all the responses but I am not having any success. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe XI. I tried what Jon suggested. I am not sure what Indy means by same windows credentials. What is interesting is that I have isolated it to one doctor's sign in. If he signs in to a completely different machine, it freezes. So, how could it be an Adobe issue? I might have to roll back to Adobe 9 and see what happens

Or just get rid of that doctor.

Okay: update: I got Timmy online at AC and he rolled us back on that machine to Adobe 9.4 and it's fixed! Thanks AC and thanks user board.

Or just get rid of that doctor. What is it that they say about specialists being problem oriented?

The software guy blames it on the hardware, the hardware guy blames it on the software, but we doctors know that we are to blame.

I think this doctor might have the rare and little known phenomenon of " electric aura ". I had a patient who insisted he had this "condition". Not surprisingly, there a diagnosis code (ICD-9-CM Code E925.9 "Accident caused by unspecified electric current"), so all is good.
