did you get that in your email?? Not sure that is so amuzing. As much as I like Updox, I don't like the idea of Amuzing Charts giving away our emails.

$20 @ Starbucks is is like a $50 gift card @ NewEgg or CDW. Nice, but doesn't go very far. :-)

Bert,
Marketing people are very strange. I can barely stand to be in the same room with just about any marketing person I have ever met.
And even then, I feel like I need a shower with lots of Dial soap after I leave said room.

But, when the marketing people are from your own company, you shouldn't need soap.

It appeared to come from AC and was offering a webinar on AC and UPDOX. Since it came from AC I didn't think it was a big deal - if you like coffee then the 2 free coffees are okay I guess.....

Hi Bill --
This is Charlie Schachter, Senior Director of Marketing for Amazing Charts.
I just want to assure you (and everyone else on this thread) that we never, ever give your email address (or any other information about you) to our partners.
We always send communications to our clients on behalf of our partners to ensure your privacy.
I am sorry that the Updox email caused concern. We sent it because many of our clients find the Updox service to be an excellent and useful add-on to Amazing Charts. We really think Updox makes our EHR even more amazing.
Thank you for using Amazing Charts. Charlie.

Bert,
Marketing people are marketing people. It's irrelevant where they are from.
However, I will give marketing people credit for one thing: They all, to a one, have incredibly thick skins and can take about anything. Of course, this is expected. Otherwise, how could a marketing person handle being told "no" by potential clients?

Charlie,
Updox is considered one of the best add-on features for AC. I would even say there is almost a cult following of the product.
I have always felt there should be more newsletters from AC about the AC product, its direction and other pertinent details about the EMR. When I see an email from AC, I am excited to see if there is a new version coming out or if there are any new features on the horizon.
It would be good if there were some type of OPT IN for vendors and their emails. I can envision advertisements from other vendors such as DNS. And, I could see other vendors such as Phreesia feeling as though they were slighted.
In my opinion, I don't think it is a good idea to receive marketing emails from AC, especially given the email address of marketing@amazingcharts.com.
Also, in this era of users waiting feverishly for the official release of 6.5.4 and eventually version 7, anything that takes time away from that, however so small, is likely frustrating for at least some users.
