I'm having trouble with the prescription writer autofilling a different quantity than I type
For example, I prescribe Viagra 100mg #3
I type
"3"
and 300 shows up in the quantity field. I have to go back and correct this.
I missed it today and got a callback from the pharmacy on the "300" quantity.
is there anyway to turn autofill off for a field?
I told pharmacy patient would have a hard time justifying 300 Viagras...

I have the same problem...I have written for 200 bactrim, cipro, etc...I write 20 and 200 defaults in..I correct most of them...funny with the viagra...if you had sent that rx to Canada they probably would have filled it....

Using AC version 6.3.3 Rx autofill does have rather odd quantities. In addition to dispense number 3 defaulting to 300 etc the program's drop down menu default quantities in descending order are "Sample", 250, 240, 200, 28, 150 etc. which necessitates one constantly scrolling down to find the more typical quantities prescribed for 10 day course, one month supply, or (mail in) three month supply. Most meds are once a day or bid and occasionally tid but the drop down menu lists practical quantities of 30, 90, 60, 180 etc way down the list. Then only 9th down the list is 150. When was the last time you Rxd 150 of something? (other than ml which doesn't compute) Go figure

That's a very annoying bug that I hoped is fixed in 6.5. I just Rx'd 200 penicillins to a kid. I can see those little strep pyogenes running for their life now!
