I was spending a beautiful Saturday doing -- what else? -- paperwork, when I found a message in my Inbox to call Dr. Vicki Roberts, AMAZING CHARTS USER. Whaaaaaaaat? What a nice surprise! I haven't logged on to the Amazing Charts User Board in (could it really be that long ago?) four years now! Well, I had a very nice chat with Vicki today, and it brought back such wonderful memories I had to log on and say "howdy." Probably there are few still posting who remember me, but I remember this User Board as a bunch of the friendliest, smartest, most generous people I have ever fallen in with. I hope it hasn't changed. Leaving Amazing Charts World was just about the worst part of leaving my clinic practice. I miss my friends, and I wish I still had such a great support group. Blessings to you all, and if I ever return to private practice, my first order of business will be to update Amazing Charts (I have never had the heart to uninstall it). My next stop will be the ACUB, and I hope you are all still here to meet me!

Brian,
I do not know how long I will stay in the rat race of private practice, but would like to another 12-15 years till retirement, but have been at it for 20 years. But what you say above about the ACUB being a great support group rings very true. Since "discovering" this product at the end of 2011, many unintended consequences have occurred in my practice, but one of the most surprising has been the help I have received from this board. The depth, breadth of knowledge and experience as it applies to every day practice cannot be found anywhere that I know of. It is a really great barometer to see how others are changing with the times. If you have time I would be interested in what you are doing now and comparing the positives and negatives to your former clinic practice. This is mere curiosity on my part, and if you do not wish to share, I understand and that is perfectly fine. Blessings to you as well.

Hi Brian, I am so thankful for the time and perspective you shared with me yesterday. We really miss your presence on the boards.
As Jimmie stated above and we talked about yesterday, the generosity of our fellow users has been invaluable. Private Practice is tough, but does offer us the opportunity to avoid a fast food approach to care. The help here has not just been with using the emr, it has included support for hardware, staffing, billing, business, and some just plain fun. In a practice where you are all alone, it is a blessing to have this online support to share the good, the bad, and the ugly, and the silly parts of our practice.
Thanks again to you Brian and to all our members.

Could have used your calming, intelligent ways over the past year. Was pretty rocky. But, things are looking up. Don't step out of line or I will have to ban you, lol. If only for a day. And, you had four years, and you couldn't come up with a better Avatar, lol.

Hey, Brian, I have thought of you often and wondered if you ever lurked around here anymore. So glad to hear from you and hope everything, including your carpal tunnel, is great for you.
