I want it to go to the PMH section. I know it goes to the summary, but wish it was dropped into the PMH.

I totally agree with that. I mentioned this to AC support a while back and did not hear back. We are having to manually update it every single visit.

Naeem,
I may be way off, but it seems that much of the updating has been to get the program MU compliant. I am thankful for the work in that area. Sadly, too often, MU and patient care day to day using an EMR have very little to do with one another.

I agree. We downloaded our current version in May of last year and are still waiting for an upgrade. I do not think it should take this long to fix and improve the program. We are having to call in or fax some prescriptions as the pharmacy list is not up to date, new FDA approved meds are not in the database. I am hoping this gets better.

Vicki,

My partner agrees with you; she uses the PMH as the problem list. I, on the other hand, was always taught to use the PMH only for problems that are totally finished, like prior surgeries or procedures. Active problems are to go in the summary section, or in the good old days, on the problem list. It is a source of some debate in our office meetings.

Hey David, Interesting points of view. I have always liked a working problem list-say always-that would be so nice to have, but haven't had that luxury since paper, LOL.
