Dear Amazing Charts Users,
I have seen several practices that have not been cleaning out their deleted messages. You can do this one of two ways.
From the message screen you can change the drop down from inbox to deleted items. Then press the empty deleted items button on the bottom right of the message window.
There is also a user preference available to empty the deleted items message box when you log out. You will find this option by pressing CTRL+U.
I have seen practices with over 20 thousand messages lingering in the deleted state. This can slow down the login for a user.
Hope everyone is enjoying a nice spring.

Claire, thanks for the reminder.
Depending on your network setup and hardware, stocked up deleted messages can considerably slow down both your login and many of your inbox operations.
source: We once used a low-to-mid end tablet, on this tablet, performance dramatically improved after we permanently deleted the deleted messages.

Is there a way to delete your Outbox? Everyone's Outbox is filled with messages years old.

Dear Beau,
After everyone that the message was sent to has opened the message it should leave the outbox. I am happy to look at the database if that is not happening.

Beau, Keep in mind that if you have users that are no longer active, or "phantom" users that you create for administrative reasons, they may have messages in their box. So let's say that you have an employee who leaves but either a. they leave with messages in their inbox or b.they are not inactivated. Any messages in their inbox will never be deleted from the senders outbox. This is especially an issue if you send "groupbox" messages; they might get deleted by other people, but if one is still in someone's inbox, they stay in your outbox. Did I thoroughly confuse you with that?

Jon,
No. That is understandable. We created quite a few new User's in the past and some are gone now. I will check that. Thanks.

Beau, While you are in those old user's message boxes, you might want to delete all of their "deleted records" too, as per Claire's initial message above.
