OK, short and sweet. When I write an order for labs, etc...the hospital says I need 2 identifiers. For the life of me I print an order and the insurance section is blank. All I need is to give them a phone number and a social security number. I have those in demographics, but it is not being carried through to the order form.. Help and thanks a bunch...ps..updox has taken 2000 plus pieces of paper off my nurses desk in 1.75 months. I love it.

Todd,
That sounds like some sort of bug to me; though I don't think you want the Social # to be on there...

When we print the orders, it has the patient's name, dob, address, phone, insurance Id, and the gaurentor's name and birthday. No, it does not have the SSN. I like that, but typically we provide the SSN when we submit test requests on the lab form or on the lab company's online system. But If we do not provide the ssn, it is not rejected.

But with all the information that I just listed, why do they need any additional Id information.Unless you would put an order number on the tubes and on the requisition.

I for one would like to see a both the chart number and a requisition number on the orders.
