It's been a few months again since I said hello and just thought I would make mention of some software I blogged about that is an add on for Dragon that does the check boxes and other areas out side of open text. It's a pretty good video showing the use with Amazing Charts and granted it's the found who has lot of experience but a little practice and it looks like it is a pretty quick way to add this on and knock out a chart not having to touch the mouse.

I use commands too with Dragon but they don't go this extent...anyway just passing along as information and so far Amazing Charts and Allscripts are the only two EMRs this works with but more coming.

When I come over here occasionally I can't help but remember the old days of watching the EMRupdate folks chase each other over here and you have to be an old timer here to remember those days when there were very few of us that talked about medical records in the early wild and wooly days.

Know someone who will be testing this in his practice with AC, and will share his perspective once he has given it a go if he consents.

I use amazing charts with dragon medical. Works great!
Saw the "note swift" video demo. Nice, but I can dictate with dragon just as fast. Yes, I do have to click here and there, but that doesn't slow me down. Both programs I think show us the direction medical care is heading.

Here's the information for more about NoteSwift.
1450.com is the primary distributor for Dragon Medical and has other hardware offerings too.
They have a contact page with a phone number and email request form. I hope this helps.

Bryce,

You should move these discussions to the Third-Party Vendor Forum. http://amazingcharts.com/ub/ubbthreads.php/forums/6/1/Third_Party_Vendor_Discussion The Forum membership is also typically very conversational if you offer some insight, knowledge and advice right here on the AC Board.
