This topic came up in the Pri-Med ACUG meeting and I thought it bears repeating. You can use codes in AC templates to personalize text %MR %FNAME %LNAME %AGE %him %he %his %Him will give you: Famous Person 1 him/her he/she his/her Him/Her This is taken from http://amazingcharts.com/ub/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4478&page=2#Post4478

Everyone probably knows of this one, but I did not discover until a month or so ago, but it is great convincing people to consider increasing their BP regimen. The little graph just to the right of the vitals--click on it and select BP and it graphs out the BP over time which can be printed up and handed to patient--

I like the idea of a thread about hidden features. Hopefully it will be a long one, and a place where everyone can learn something. Here is something simple: AC key shortcuts. It never ceases to surprise me that people don't know about these and use them regularly (F-9; ctrl-s; etc.). They add up to significant time savings. In AC, go to help...contents... and type "shortcut keys" for the full list.

Wendell, can you put in a place holder for:
This 3 month old boy presents....
I don't think so.
I could be wrong, but not even going with the macros, I find it crazy that the computer cannot report ages in months or days.

I do too, but jimmie the positive of what you have stated is overwhelmed by the difficulty of getting there and the note showing HC, SAT, Pain, pre-bronchodilater, post-bronchodilater and Other.
I would say I use SAT 10% of the time in winder, pain never (can't see the benefit and I have read many articles downplaying its value at all, and the pre and post I may use 1% of the time and God knows what Other is. They are fine to have but, once again, we need preferences. I had to search to find BPs, but once I found it I guess I could find it again.
