Someone move this to 3rd party if necessary...
I've been haphazardly trying to figure out how to get Updox and AC to talk to each other for a few months now (we just opened our practice Nov. 1) and we've been limping along with workarounds. However, things are picking up quickly and the docs are coming in way too fast for limping. I've installed the Updox Connector for AC but Updox doesn't seem to care. The video tutorial about integrating Updox shows a very cool looking button labeled "Send to EHR" but my updox screen doesn't have it.
How do I get one? They look terribly trendy and useful. (c:

You need to call support, get a good Lager (or black and tan's) and play with this. It has taken me about 3 weeks to learn this. I had set up the portal wrong and it looks good. Remember to go to the section where you can work on your portal face page, set your hours, etc. Make sure Java 7 is downloaded. Here is the link. It has really helped me. http://support.updox.com/ You can do this. I am a doc, but I feel like all of those other people you have in your signature line...LOL....todd

Yes, Tim, you can do this. When I first started fiddling with Updox it was very confusing. Once you get the hang of it and get it set up, it's very easy. Start with basic document management and get that sorted out. The key function of Updox is taking faxes and getting them into AC. Everything else is grave. Have you got a fax number to send documents to Updox? If so then send a test fax of a patient document, open Updox and find the document. In the upper right corner of the Updox screen you should see two green dots beside "Updox Status" and "AC Connector Status". If these are green (not red)--Updox is working.
Beside your document click "Send item". This brings up a new window. Then you need to identify the patient to whom the document belongs. Specify the type of document (lab, xray, etc). Then you'll see the "Send to EHR" button. Click and you're document will zip off to AC. My medical assistant processes dozens of documents via Updox in a few minutes. I don't bother using the editing tools within Updox (though they are terrific)--she just prints out things I need to sign. It's quicker for me that way.

Hey Tim, I just took at a look at your account. Somehow, you actually signed up as a Practice Fusion user, not an Amazing Charts user, so there's a bunch of stuff you won't ever be able to see. I just spoke with our support department, it looks they actually received an email from you yesterday and they've already responded, they should be able to help you out.
Tobin (at Updox) Please use the official Updox Support email support@updox.com for time-sensitive/important bugs or issues, I do not check these forums every day.

Thanks Tobin, that explains a lot! We had Practice Fusion briefly and hated it and thought we switched with UpDox but apparently not. Back to trying to figure this out...
And thanks to everyone else for your encouragement. (c:
