Does anyone know why it takes so long to bring up the reminder screen? I use it to let my nurse know when I want something followed up. I use it when I am doing my notes, and it seems like it takes forever (maybe 20seconds) to come up. Everything else is very fast, even imported items in charts where there are hundreds of them.

Does this happen on all your computers ? Check server and workstations sending reminders to the same person and try another person in your practice to see if something is clogging up their account. Mine never take this long - I use reminders from main screen but mostly when signing off labs and using the reminder to send immediate e-mail to call pt., etc.

Another question about the reminders --
Is it possible to view and change reminders once they have been sent? Sometimes we want to retrieve that information and change the reminder date or something -- but I can't find any way to do that.
You send a reminder into the void, and it pops up on the appointed day -- where does it go in the meantime?

So there is no report like "all reminders"? Or pull up an account and search for "reminders"?
I can't find such a thing.

Tom, I agree with Steven; while my reminder screen is not particularly snappy, it is nothing like you describe. I also agree with his diagnostic approach to the problem. So far as I know, there is no way to run a report for all reminders. As Steven says, reminders are treated much like messages, so if you have sent one and want to retrieve it (to cancel or modify it) then go to your outbox, find it there, and "retrieve message". If you are concerned about a number of reminders, go to your outbox, click on "subject" at the top and it will alphabetize the entire list. That should put all of your reminders together in the list.
