Just watched part of the updox presentation . I don't see where the rx portion is helpful when it appears to bypass the electronic rx submission to the pharmacy in AC. The presentation of the portal was so fast and complicated that my eyes glazed over. I cannot imaging any older pt 50 and above going to the trouble to use it. just my opinion I would like to here from others Arthur

Our patients do. Even the ones older than 50. Heck, I'm older than 50 and I love it. Dr C is older than I and she loves it. It is so much easier than RelayHealth especially with the AC integration.
I've never noticed any prescription portion of Updox...maybe that's something upcoming, but if so I wish they'd concentrate on more basic improvements first. Like letting patients add attachments to their messages to us.
Perhaps the presentation does a poor job. I had a live demo from Updox so I didn't watch the presentation.

I just started the UpDox trial this week and in the first day of getting the portal up and running, I was flooded with patient messages as well as thanks from many patients of all ages thanking the office for getting our portal up and running. The issue I've had is anyone over 75 or some of the older immigrants feeling its a little bit too much work for them. But on the nice side, they're willing to have their family members set things up for them.

That seems about right. Our "older" patients are generally in their 50's so they usually can use basic computer technology if they want to, though some don't want to. People in their 70's more often didn't become comfortable with computers before they retired and may not own their own now.
