I recently tried to encrypt some data to send to another provider by secure email; however, when I click on the Amazing Utilities function and then on the "Encrypt" function, it does not have a "PHI File" tab, nor a "Hash" tab, nor the ability to send the data to the Amazing Charts Secure Web server, as suggested in the "Help" section. Can anyone shed some light as to why these functions are not available? Is the Help Section on this outdated?

Dear Dr. Prieto,

The encrypt function allow you to encrypt a file and email it to another Amazing Charts user. They will unencrypt the file using Amazing Charts. There is no transfer function available. Hopefully this helps.

Speaking of Which,
I want to make sure I have this correct because it has been some time now since AC got the actual Back-Up feature as opposed to all of us copying our files from inside the program every night....

As we create in-house to a drive or similar source back-up AC is already creating a properly Encrypted, protected and safe back-up for us right? So only AC can really properly open them up for us. Furthermore I would guess (not assume, right??? :-) that the encryption is based in part by the admin or highest user's password to help make them more unique and further protected to some extent? So someone can't simply download a free copy of AC and open files from some lost drive?

Lastly, if something like an file that is already protected in some form of an encryption pattern format is it bad form or bad to then do likewise again when copying, saving such a file to an extrenal drive or similar kind of place? Like can you, should you or should you not Double Encrypt something?

Sorry for the lower level concept questions but inquiring minds want to know....
Thanks,
Paul
