Hello, everyone! We are a solo Peds practice in GA and just recently bought ACitC (web-hosted AC). We have been using Praxis with Lytec for the last 8 years and would really like to be done with this paradigm. Our dilemma is whether we should just be patient and wait for v7 to be released or make the effort to achieve a reasonably ?seamless" interface with Lytec via x-link.

I think this would depend on how long of a wait we are in for (AC not accepting Beta users at this point), vs. how easy or smooth the integration between AC and Lytec is. I would appreciate any thoughtful advice/help with this. Anyone have any idea of what kind of timetable AC has for v7? Anybody who has interfaced Lytec with AC, without having to do any double entry and using paper superbills? Thank you for your time.

There are other improvements as well; I am trying not to steal too much of AC?s thunder. The bad news regards practice management; the summary on the release date is ?no time soon?. Jon B. said he plans to make an announcement about this in the near future.

This is from what Jon posted from the Pri-Med conference in Baltimore where Jon Bertman was speaking. (see Does the new company affect AC in a good way? bad way? about 1/2 way down)

I can't speak to interfacing with Lytec, but I would not expect V7 before at least the summer or beyond.

Jeannette, there are a couple of Revenue Cycle Management(RCM) companies that do well with AC, but I am not sure if implementing them is going to be directly compatible with ACitC. There might be a intermediate step to run reports so that they get the data they need.

The whole goal should be to make the tools you use more useful, less work, and better results. Let me know if you want contact with these RCM companies.

Jeannette,
I have been using AC and Lytec with xlink for a couple years now. I previously used Praxis as well, and experienced a lot of problems with that setup. The xlink interface works well, and initial setup was quick and painless. I am not sure about how it works with ACitC though. When xlink was installed, all patient demographics were imported into AC. After a note and superbill are created in AC, it is imported into Lytec seemlessly. The one problem with this interface is that demographics interface between AC and Lytec is not real-time. Anytime a change in demographics is made in AC, the girls in my office have to click on import changes within AC. Just a few clicks, but wish it was real-time. Compared to the Praxis to Lytec interface, seems to be a lot better, unless they've changed. I am very interested in V7 as well, to get away from having to update 3 different pieces of software and make sure I have the correct version of xlink. Hope this helps.
