I logged in to my server running windows 2008 for the first time in months and it comes up with AC Admin service not running please run Amazing utilities program tand click check Amazing charts button. I do this and it tells me every thing is working fine. Amazing charts loads up and runs. When I quit and restart AC on server it does the same. No problems on the client computers

This happens periodically on my server too. not sure what causes it. If you go to 'services' under 'Admin Tools' in the start menu. If you right click on the Amazing Charts admin server and click 'restart' it will restart the service. You can do this anytime, doesn't have to be on downtime when no one is on the network/EHR (at least it works fine when I do it during business hours).

Had support look at this, they tell me it is due to amazing charts backup triing to upload a large file to the server (with imports includes this file for me is over 16Gigs) once stopped all is working well. Now to find 36,000 messages in everyones mailboxes to speed AC up

I am not sure why support is looking at that or giving any information which has anything to do with imports.
This is a known issue, which happens to a lot of AC users. It happens to me. I just click through it and open AC. You can use Amazing Utilities to clean things up, and it will go away for a while (at least for me), but it always comes back.

This is an ongoing problem for me also. Generally goes away for some time when I restart the server. It seems to hold up the automatic backup and have to keep resetting the future back up date. Again clears up with Server restart for some time.

I wish AC had patches you could download to solve these few problems. It is no big deal to click through it, and you can fix it with Amazing Utilities, but it is a bug. Bugs should be squashed.

They would probably need to invest a lot more in a larger test environments if they switched to a patch system. Would need to work on recognizing interim versions between patches. Patches can mess things up pretty badly if they're not done properly. The code has to be structured in such a way that makes it easy to modify modules. Right now it's kind of like one giant program. I don't think they'll have much with all this MU stage 2 and PM module for several years.
