We just tried the UpDox broadcast function to alert patients that flu shots were available. Over 200 patients acknowledged receipt of this message in the first half hour, at 2:00 PM on a work day. Clearly, this is a highly effective way to reach people.

One glitch appears to be happening after having sent out our broadcast notice. We have apparently sent notices to at least some inactive patients (and possibly all?). This created an uncomfortable situation with a grieving widow and a second situation with an angry fired patient. Just a heads up in case you see the same.

FYI, I just got an email about the inactive patients from Updox. They say they have fixed the problem and it should be released by about Friday or so. So, if you need to broadcast, you might wait until then.
