I have a couple of questions regarding attestation for an office with multiple doctors. From what I understand, each doctor can attest; however, I?m a little confused about the logistics of this. I (a doctor) will be entering in all the information for all of the other doctors in our clinic because they are all relatively computer illiterate. The initial registration asks for an NPI number and password. Whose information am I supposed to use? Can I use one NPI number and password to attest for multiple doctors or does each one of us need to have a separate account associated with our individual NPI number and password? Or can I just enter everyone?s information under a designated ?user working on behalf of an eligible professional??
Thank you, ALR

I believe you need NPI and password for each doctor and then enter each one separately.

I think you will find that this will involve the whole pecos thing. Everything has to match perfectly. And getting help from Medicare when it doesn't is like pulling teeth. First step is to register for attestation....once you get through that it should be easy.
