I am currently using V6.1.2 and this platform is very stable for my office. I don't mean this in a negative way against AC, but history has proven that occasionally an AC upgrade is not always 100% stable. Therefore prior to upgrading I would like to know if there are any significant bugs in V6.3.
If you are currently using V6.3, would you mind offering your comments and advise whether to upgrade at this time or wait?
thank you.

Adam,
Only minor glitch for me has been the Imported Items disappearing and had to uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall with 9.5 but about two thirds down the General Discussion column you can read on the Choices some discussion about this issue--but I think the upgrade has been an improvement for me.

Some frequently written prescriptions no longer save for us after we upgraded. So every prescription sig has to be rewritten for every prescription. AC tech support says the usual "it is a known bug an will be addressed in the next version."

AC tech support says the usual "it is a known bug an will be addressed in the next version." Referrals do not print out correctly. Prescriptions are not remembered as above. Some codified prescriptions lose their codified status when they are refilled :^( But at least the correct pharmacy is remembered correctly. Greg

I've had a few issues with V6.3.3 including that II bug. Also random crashes in the meds and diagnoses windows. I rolled back to V6.10 and all of the issues disappeared.

Hi Adam,
We are on 6.1.2 and have no plans to upgrade soon.
We started 7 years ago on v2. All upgrades went well UNTIL 6.0.9, which gave me 2 of the worst (professional) weeks of my life.
The subsequent upgrades were fine, 6.0.11(or 6.0.12?) then 6.1.1 and 6.1.2.
6.1.2 is doing very well, rarely crashes, overall speed very good. Order writing is a little slow.
But I am unconvinced that the (albeit small) risk of a major problem with an upgrade to 6.3.3 justifies the benefits.

I've been using 6.010 without any significant complaints except for the cursor jumping back to the beginning when dictating into the PLAN box with Dragon, oh and the "in"/ "and" problem causing the cursor to jump to the weight box and changing lbs to kgs when either of those two words are spoken separately and not in a string of words. But, better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
Anybody know if those problems get fixed in the subsequent versions? Dave FP

Dave,
I have not experienced the cursor jumping to the beginning when dictating in the Plan section. However the cursor still jumps when dictating in HPI section to the weight box changing lbs to kg.

Dave FP I found that this went away when I upgraded to Dragon Medical 11. I think it required tweaking a new setting affecting the document command option of Dragon. It also no longer jumps to the vitals section of the encounter when dictating ( inadvertant field changes ).

Gene, I tend to be slow to upgrade, especially in the absence of major improvements. Nonetheless, I went to 6.3.3 and am glad that I did. The major plus is improved speed. The only significant negative was an issue with Adobe Reader 10, which did not occur on machines already using Adobe 9.5 and disappeared on the machines with 10, after rolling back to 9.5. There has always been so user-to-user variation with upgrade issues, so there is never a guarantee, but I think most will be happy going to 6.3.3.

Jon, I've noted in the comments here and in various threads on the topic of V6.3.3 that improved speed is notable.
I am not noticing any significant slowing in 6.1. In regard to AC everything is very "snappy" and quick with the connections from the clients to the server.
Would you say that improved speed is the biggest advantage in upgrading from 6.1 to 6.3? If so, would you recommend the upgrade to someone who is not experiencing any significant speed issues?
Your experienced input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks John (ryanjo)for the tip about the jumpy cursor by doing the click option. This has been driving me crazy and I think it is fixed now.

Adam, If you are happy with 6.1 (including the speed of AC) then I would stay where you are.

Dave,
Now that you pointed this out I have noticed the cursor jumping up to the beginning of the plan section when dictating in the plan section with dragon, so this is still present in the 6.3.3.

Just upgraded last night to Version 6.3.3. This is our first upgrade since purchasing in 9/11. Took me about 3-4 hours to upgrade server and 15 computers. Now I am wondering what big impressive things I am going to see. After reading the previous threads it sounds like not a lot other then improved speed and saving the pharmacy. I would hope/wish that AC would notify users of what was changed or improved with 6.3.3 so we know what to expect.

Robynne, When considering an upgrade, I look on the board here for people's experience and also check the version change log which gives you an idea of what changes you can expect.
