Has anyone else noted an issue where you go to a site that wants you to download or view a PDF with IE and it gives error and crashes (can't remember error) but only happens with IE and Adobe Reader. If I download Chrome it works fine. Happened with many sites, but now I can't remember one to try.

It would be helpful if you could include the error. Also what version of IE and Adobe? They recently released an update a few days ago so I would try updating that and see if there is any change.

By the way, this is a known issue. IE9 being unable to open PDF files with Adobe Reader X. I think the recent update fixed that.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, Open Adobe Reader>Go to Edit>Preferences>Internet>Uncheck Display PDF in Browser

Ive had problems with IE and Adobe for a couple of years. You try to open a file, and it won't display it. Doesnt happen with Chrome, but many business websites don't work on Chrome. Like Navinet, and Quest.

Hi all,
on a related topic, I recently downloaded Adobe reader 10 as my on line credentialling site could not use Adobe reader 9. Then I noticed while using AC that when I try to maximize a PDF file ( as in imported items) AC freezes and has to be shut down.
I got around this by using their + or zoom button . Just to let other users know in case you run into this problem. Perhaps Sandeep can explain this .

Not sure if he can explain it, but he did describe the problem as well as how to avoid it. :-)
I am back on Adobe Reader 9.5, as a result.
