Hi,
I have fount the "Yellow Sticky Notes" in AC but do not know how to use them.
Do they get saved as part of the patient's chart? Are they temporary ? How do you get them to pop up when you pull a pt's chart (or will they automatically0 ? Are they stored somewhere where i have to go to see them ?
Not trying to be funny, but I do know how to use a regular yellow post it note on a paper chart--nice reminder that I can discard after use or add to chart if I want or need to. I really do not need to overpopulate my inbox w/ reminders, nor put temporary reminders in permanet storage.
Please advise how you use the "yellow sticky notes in AC.

They are temporary. They are not all the same. A bit confusing but i use the top one just like a paper sticky. MUST remember to save or changes go byebye. I use sticky between visits and cut and paste into visit prn. Size limit is too small almost like a txt but i manage.

LOL It's actually just what the name implies. It's a sticky note. It's small, square, yellow and you can stick it places for a temporary quick note. Electronic sticky note. It actually is useful too.

There is the sticky note in the demographics area. It will show up when you highlight the patient's name. We use this for patients who leave the practice, so that they cannot come back, or if there are other issues that people should know up front.
There is the yellow sticky in the top of the note. It will show up from a reminder as well and will stay until you remove it.
Neither is part of the permanent chart.

The yellow sticky notes I was referring to are the ones that you can make when you are in the main AC screen--under 'edit'-new note---then a blank yellow sticky note pops up that you can complete and either print or save---you can't really paste them anywhere is AC--not on a patient chart, not on a report, not in Imported Items, not anywhere------------so why or how would you use them ?

This is what I was referring to. You can even save them! I hardly ever use them, really. I forget they are there. But sometimes when I have a phone call and I jst need to jot down something and call back, I wish I would think of them instead of the easily loseable piece of paper.

I too forgot they were there. I saw them and never used them. Actually, they may come in handy. Thats one of the values of this board, bringing up the little things that can make a difference.
