It only comes up when you select the page? You have to select each page of the document to get the whole thing to print, or am I missing something?

I didn't notice this. But it needs to print the whole document, not just one page at a time.

Well, guess I got excited a little too early. PRINT function still could be improved as you have to select the pages before the print button appears.
One step at a time I guess Jon.

That is not a problem as I see it. I usually do not want to print out the fax cover sheet, and some records from providers with electronic records are so filled with garbage that i just select the first and last pages, so I just select the pages I want. The print button prints those out fine.

Well at least with now having the print button, you don't have to select a document to edit then print.

Now I see the other choice which is Options...select all...print. Definitely an improvement.

Yes, we finally caved to the pressure. Enough people wanted to only print certain pages (as opposed to entire documents) that we started with the current solution of printing the selected pages. As Jon noted, there is the Options -> Select All Pages feature as well. Let us know how this works for you; if we can tweak it somehow so it's even better, let us know.

Tobin, while I'm glad its there, I do wish you all had just added a more conventional print feature. That is, it defaults to printing all of the document, but you can select to print certain pages if you wish. Also, it would be nice if things were designed to be more intuitive. For example, the print option could just be an obvious button right there on the screen, instead of users having to search for it or stumble upon it.
Granted, there is limited space on any one screen, but Print should really be where you automatically go looking for it.

Check again today...
Err... spoke too soon, looks like the new version won't be today. Hopefully within the next couple of days, sorry for the false alarm.

The discussion is regarding a PRINT button that was added to Updox. So now instead of having to open the document from the EDIT menu and print, you can now select the document and hit the PRINT button within UPDOX.

Yes, the ability to print multiple pages by selecting and clicking print is a feature that had been lacking and is veru useful. Otherwise, opening each page individually and going to File on menu and clicking print was very time consuming. Why did it take so long to add this feature? I had talked to Charlie at UpDox a while ago about printing, and he told me there was no other alternative but to open each page individually and print.
Thank you!

Thanks, Tobin! That's great.
Thanks also for the mass mailing regarding a minor glitch requiring a restart. For those who didn't see it: "If you experienced an issue with not seeing the ?Send to EMR? button when trying to send an item into a patient?s chart, please logout of Updox and log back in. After logging back in, the button should now be visible. Also note, we recently released a much requested feature of adding a ?Print Item? button directly under the ?Send Item?!
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this issue."
