I just interfaced with my lab. My practice always calls all patients with lab results, whether it is normal or abnormal. I see how to "sign off" on the lab. Is there a way to message my LPN at the same time with my interpretation of the lab ( "normal", "potasium needs to be increased to 40 meq qd ", etc)?

Do I need to sign the lab, then open a chart and then create a message for the patient?

Hit Signoff - then hit message/reminder and send note to your nurse. Then Sign off lab.

How do you review a lab that is abnormal, write a script associated with the lab ( antibiotic for a positive culture) and have it "connected to the lab for future reference?

Go to signoff - hit button for prescribing and it will attach the information regarding that scrip to lab. Then you can send note to staff about calling, etc. Then signoff
