As you may have seen, there is a signature line which reads, "avoid spam like this one: http://pdstechadvisor.com/I would like to respond to that. Over the past six months or more, Sandeep has helped numerous people with questions on computers, networking, client/servers, speed issues and many other problems associated with Amazing Charts. His posts showing how to build your own servers and clients could be included in TechNet journals. He has tirelessly given advice as to what would work best for any given practice. And, he has made YouTube videos on Terminal Servers and other topics. All of this was for free, because he enjoys helping other users. Sandeep answers questions sometimes within minutes. He is known to post links to parts that a user should consider and always at the best price. He offers to remote into your computer to diagnose and solve computer issues. And, he does all this without asking for anything in return. His start up company, PDS Techadvisor is a technology company offering computer and network advice. It also sells computers. However, the staff at PDS all know that any call for help from an AC user, should be relayed to Sandeep, and he will offer advice at no charge. Ask yourself the following questions: What company trying to sell computers and services would post instructions and parts on how to build your own computer as well as help you build it at no charge? What company trying to benefit from tech advice would do it for free? None. Which is why it is obvious that PDS Techadvisor is nor targeting AC users for customers. Should Sandeep had added this disclaimer? Maybe. But, I think that those who know Sandeep and what he brings to the users of AC, know he is not in it to make money. I understand that someone could misinterpret the posting of their own company. But, given his tireless help, can we cut him some slack. I would not refer to http://pdstechadvisor.com as spam. I would also like to point out something that Sandeep won't. So often, users will talk about their IT guy. They may be very good. Or they may be the video game star down the street. Sandeep is a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional or MCITP. These aren't bought at Wal-Mart. He is also an MVP aka Microsoft Valuable Professional. This is why his advice is generally dead on. Simply put, Sandeep is my good friend, and should be allowed to put whatever he wants for his signature line. I guess that is my disclaimer. If you agree that Sandeep has been extremely helpful, please post and let him know.

Sandeep, You have helped me with my efficiency in the office more than I realize myself at times. Your help is always appreciated, and have learned more since becoming part of the AC user board the end of last year about computer issues than I have in my lifetime. A lot of this is due to your postings, the hardwire issues, ethernet cable suggestions, and laptop recommendations just to name a few. THANK YOU

If not for Sandeep, my computers would still be dragging slowly through the med refill pages. His advice with this and other aspects of computers has been invaluable to my day-to-day operations. Thank You Sandeep! (though I do wish you'd keep somewhere in your signature line those links to your website that demonstrated step-by-step how to speed up the computer, as I referred to that each time someone in my office complained AC was running too slow... I promise, I'll print them out for safekeeping) Thanks again for all the help you provide here in the forums, and good luck with the PDS-TechAdvisors company!

Yeah, Sandeep is the bomb! I like the fact that he never answers , "If you would have done a search on the board you would have found that I have answered this question 10 times already for you moronic doctors..."

I have learned so much from Sandeeps postings that it almost a tutorial on computers 301.
Actually I did not know that pdftechadvisor.com was his site. If I had I would have been more critical of the person calling it spam.
We try to guard against companies posting for their own gain, and we do have an area they can post biased material freely. Sandeep has never pushed his own agenda. All of his information has been free and very helpful. I certainly do not feel he needs to be limited.
I for one think he has been a very useful part of the board.
Kudo's to Sandeep!

Sandeep, I have the highest respect for you, based on your IT advice I've read here. You seem to be a great resource here and my posts should not be taken so seriously. I will tone it down. Please accept my apologies if you would.

Thanks guys. Just a little FYI: PDS Tech doesn't exist. There's no commercial interest going on. It was just an idea, we're not selling anything nor have we sold anything nor do we have any plans of doing so for at least a year (if that even happens). Just a couple and friends I messing around with some ideas. I'll probably be moving my videos, tutorials, and scripts there because it's easier on the eyes than my personal site.
Apology accepted, Marlene.

So, Sandeep, what do you think of Microsoft Lync? Is there anything not sacred with them?

Seems alright. Basically an internal messenger. I'll just stick with something like IPMsg. Lync is on the bulky side.

I settled on a program called BORG chat. I found out about IPMsg here and played around with it, then started looking at alternatives (don't remember why.) BORG Chat won out. very easy to use.
Not knocking IPMsg, I honestly don't remember why I looked for other programs, there was a reason. Anyway, the BORG has become my standard bearer (OH, and it's FREE)
It hasn't been updated since 2007, but works on my Win 7 machines (most of my system is still XP)

Resistance is futile....we have all been assimilated into medicine and computers.
