If this doesn't take the cake. Now, after all these years of being forced to file Medicare electronically, they have decided they are no longer going to allow me to file through the EDI gateway that has been successful. Now I either have to pay a vendor to file medicare claims for me or go back to paper. Who is the idiot that thought this was simplifying things?
I am sooooooooooooooo close to packing it in.

Leslie, Aaaaahhhh, Like that would be the vendor who paid off a few senators enough to get that little part added to the larger bill that they passed. That vendor thought that it would be a lovely idea and "So Much Simplier" for YOU and for ALL of US to make use of his "Toll Road" to Hell.....
Come on gal, I know you are smarter than that.... In the words of the immortal "Daffy Duck":

What gateway are you using, Leslie? I have been using Office Ally's clearinghouse (essentially free unless most of your claims are Medicare, then it's about $20/mo) with no issues for the past 4 years.
Hang in there.

Currently I am using a free EDI via my state's medicare carrier. My PM program produces a batch file which then is transferred via modem. The PM wants $$$$ to set me up via another gateway so I will likely use the free Availity service and just double enter info.
