When you put in a new expirtion date or lot number the software keeps in in the pull down list. After a while those lists become so large they are no longer useful. Is there any way to remove the old dates and lot numbers from that program?

Welcome to AC Cherlyque.

This is another one of those areas in AC where it would be nice to be able to clear out the data base. Perhaps our Master-Work-Around Bert has a solution.

Hoping that this will change in 4.0. Bert's work-around rocks, though.

If it is possible, the Lot Number should populate the rest of the fields (as it could be tied into the vaccine, manufacturer, dosage (with some exception), route.
As Cherlyque astutely mentions, there should be a way to retire expired, non-used numbers. Now that may be a feature worth updating.

Hi Cherlyque! I am flattered by Vinny and Roy. Thanks Vinny for your compliment. I will look into your question again.

By the way, we are working on VIPER which will be extinct before it starts if 4.0 fixes things. Fingers crossed. But, I had this same discussion with my programmer.

You can either tie the Vaccines into everything including Lot#s and dates of expiration. You would obviously need to change those in an admin section when they change.

Or you can use the Lot# and tie it in. The problem with this route (unless someone can help me here) would be you would be starting off with a Lot#. How would one remember a lot# to start with.

In other words: You put in Varivax and everything populates (changing the Lot#s and expiration dates when they change). But, how would you put in the Lot# unless you looked it up each time?

You can take a look at Tips and Tricks and see if this helps:

Ultimately, pulling down the VACCINE NAME would populate EVERYTHING, with unlikely routes not populated, unlikely injection sites not populated, and only current lot numbers, with the most recently used the default.. but I'm not writing that part lol

I can only hope to influence the guy who IS writing it, so that we get what we need..
