I wish 'drag and drop' function of regular text could be performed. I dictate into an olympus and at the end of the day, the file is transcribed by Dragon. Now to insert the text into the data boxes in AC, I have to highlight, textcntr-c/cntr-v from the document into AC. A drag and drop function may save me a few minutes a day.

You could go even faster with AutoHotKey. One button that copies, switches between windows, then pastes. Or if you use a template that matches AC fields, you can do them all at once.

AutoHotKey is very powerful. You could even have it find the right patient for you, open the chart, Ctrl-N to start a new note, and paste the text into the appropriate "boxes".
Just takes a bit of tweaking, and a structured text file.
