Help!!!
Is anyone else having problems with input of info not saving? Some days I have to enter & re-enter patient information into the demographics over & over before it will stay!Other times it's fine. AC doesn't really have an answer... Anyone know what's going on??

Happens to us all the time. The problem seems to be that if a user has the chart open and another tries to open the chart and enter details in the demographics it is not saved. I feel there may be a hierarchy and if a front office staff and a nurse are logged in the nurses information is save but the front office it is not.

I have never had this problem. The only time I have to save twice is if the person's name changes. If I change Bill to John, it will say "Are you sure you want to change this patient's first name?" Click Yes, and "Information on John Johnson is updated." * You must then click on OK to get rid of that window.

Then you must update demographics by clicking in bottom right. "Information on Bill Johnson was updated."

However, you can do it in three steps, after clicking on OK or "x" ing out in the window designated by the asterisk. Not sure if this helps. Anything else, I believe you can just click on update.

We have also had this problem but I have been blaming it on operator error. It seems to be happening less and less now that everyone is making sure they hit the "Update Info" button before exiting the chart. It mostly wouldn't save the next of kin and race, ethnicity section for us. Never thought to consider it could be because two people are in the same chart at the same time which could be a possibility. I will track it now that I know.
