So today I got an e-mail from CMS stating that a check issued on 4/26/12 has an error and a stop payment has been applied - they then called my office to verify that I am not to cash check as they are reissuing - seems on the box for dollar amount it says $ 1,800.00 and on the line it says Eighteen Thousand dollars... now they stated it was for medicare EHR incentive. I am waiting for the second check to arrive so I can call them back as I got my 2011 MU bonus of $18,000.00 last year and I think the computer is mistakenly sending it out again. Wonder how many thousands of these might get done, bad part is that I will probably have a hard time returning it and getting credit. I figure that after I report it I will get a nasty letter informing me that I have defrauded them and wanting money back with interest.

Hey, I think you got my check, so tell them to send it right out to me.
