So apparently pharmacies have notified us that we are not in compliance with NYS law Section 6810(6) when using the TSP800 New York format as it does not have "THIS PRESCRIPTION WILL BE FILLED GENERICALLY UNLESS PRESCRIBER WRITES 'd a w' IN THE BOX BELOW".
Here is the official word from
NYS NYS.
I have contacted Amazing Charts support to let them know and am waiting to hear back...
I thought for sure with version 6.1.3 that it would have included this update since I have reported it to them a while back, but to my surprise it was not in the change log unless its other the "other bug fixes/enhancements".
- Added secure communication channels and HUB client backbone to core.
- Added additional fields to drug medication database to allow database to be updated more easily
- Added new TSP800 prescription paper formats for Washington, Delaware, and Georgia
- Added automatic numbering of printed prescriptions as required by Delaware
- Added additional protections to prevent inadvertent scheduled II-V free text meds from being transmitted, which is both illegal and can trigger ones ePrescribing account to be turned off
- Added efaxed transaction support
- Corrected an issue where some mid-level providers were not shown in the wizard dropdown
- Added a % counter for the number of patients with Medicaid insurance seen during the encounter period
- Corrected an issue so hosted AC crystal reports will print faster
- Added a Reset button to the backup screen to reset the time for the next scheduled backup
- Adjusted Immunization search parameters
- Adjusted Print Formal Health Record to now populate in REASON field instead of COMMENTS field
- Corrected an issue where medication strength that had non-numeric values could cause an error with RIQI HIE
- Corrected an issue where a free text name in Preferred Provider could cause an error within a patient's CCD
- Increased CCD upload timeout to 5 minutes (for huge CCDs)
- Increased the length of interface free trial times to 80 days to avoid inadvertent shut down.
- And a number of other fixes, tweaks, and enhancements.
I'll try to keep the board up-to-date on this one.
For now we can use the Large Brother 2270DW Printer with (4 per page) paper which includes the verbage, however toner is getting expensive when we can just use the TSP's thermal paper.
