When synchronizing a laptop to take off site, is it possible to get and "Overall Status" bar... you have 1 status bar that goes through, but it goes through about 4/5 times..
Can we get 1 below that shows the overall status of the synchronization please?
thank you for considering.

Please consider searching for and reading older posts about using the synchronization feature. Many other users have posted about serious problems using sync. just a friendly word of caution. Research this before using it regularly.

Thanks for the heads up.
I have been using this feature for a couple months now. No Issues yet. (knock on wood)
I will keep that under advice.
Internet connection is too slow so I need something like this. If they can fix it up and make the synchronization more stable I'm sure all the users would appreciate it, including me.

Hello, Here is a bit of information on the Amazing Charts Sync function. The Sync function can work well for a provider as long as it?s used efficiently. If you sync back to the server within a day or two at the most there shouldn?t be any problems. Also here is a list of function that can be done on a synced laptop: Display all patient data. Create new notes. Update existing note. Sign off on notes.
Here is a list of function that you want to stay away from. These are some things we have seen cause problems and errors when syncing back to the server: Add or delete patient Photos. Import or sign off on any Labs. Any kind of importing into patient?s charts. No sending messages or forwarding charts. Unless you forward yourself a chart, then sign off on the chart and delete the message prior to syncing back. Do not add, delete or move any patient schedule.
If you avoid any of the above functions you should have no troubles with the sync function.
Thank you, Anthony@AC

Yikes. Sounds like one of those depression medications with all the nasty side effects.

RDP is able to run with very low bandwith. I was running it with just 30 kilobits/second (nearly half the speed up dial up).

These functions to stay away from, can any function be performed on the Main computer while the laptop is off site? Just writing notes offsite might work for us even if we have to have the staff not enter anything until we re-sync.

Yes, all functions can be performed on the computers at the practice while the laptop is off site. However, if you have the laptop offsite and nobody is using Amazing Charts at the practice, you should be able to get away with doing these functions: Schedule a patient. Send messages and forward charts.
Although you still want to stay away from any kind of importing into charts, especially labs. Importing seems to cause more errors than anything else.
I hope this answers your question.
Thank you, Anthony@AC

Basically, we would want to write notes/letters, look at the results/imported items, may want to send messages and add addendums to the chart. This would really be great since we usually go away on weekends with little or no internet. When we resync, does everyone need to be out of AC? This could really work well for us.
