Never did that before but know have a patient who also is good friend of mine who insist that I should bill for the home visits. I check on him usually once a week. Does anyone have experience with billing for home visits ?

We make quite a few housecalls a month.
Example:
Bill a 99350 Home Visit Established Patient, High Complexity.
Also include venipucture by Physician.

We are still in trial phase with AC but do create a SOAP note and visit summary in our current EMR. Altapoint is our billing program.

Just did my first one yesterday. Billed 99350. 1 hour face to face. Billed and documented in a same way as I usually do except place of service is 12. But you have to be approved by Medicare to do so. I mean for Medicare pts.

document the home visit in AC the same as you would an in office visit.
I usually clearly state in the CC: HOME VISIT, and indicate in the History something about the patient's mobility status or whatever made it medically necessary for me to do a home visit (in the event of a Medicare audit).
