We are now on 6.12. The preferred pharmacy is still not saving. Tech support says they think it was fixed in version 6. I have read various accounts here. Anyone have any tricks to get it to save?

This probably won't help since I'm running v6.0.10 (V6.12 is out?) but I've noticed when I pull just the demographics (the little rolodex icon where you pull patients up) and add it in there it seems to stick after I find, load, and update. I'd have your staff check with each patient when they walk in and have them do this. I do it for all Rx calls I receive for Dr and it works really well. I also just verify pharmacies by pulling the demos too. Hope that helps and wasn't as rambling as I think it is...

Now that I am trying to keep up my e-prescribing stats for MU, this is getting more irritating.
Now using 6.0.10, not the beta.

Some patients the preferred pharmacy works fine, but on others even though is has been saved in demographics, when I go to send the prescription, nothing is listed for pharmacies and you are not allowed to go back and reopen the demographics window !!

Options are to print out the prescription (bad for MU) or go back to the patient to find out again their preferred pharmacy (bad for time management).

Is there a time frame for being fixed?
Is it fixed in the rapid release beta?

Thanks
Greg

Tech support has a posting a few weeks ago that the problem has been identified and fixed for the 6.2.0 release, due "soon."

It would also be nice if you could save a preferred local pharmacy and a preferred mail order pharmacy. I was able to do this with Allscripts, and it was very helpful.

This is a bug that affects some users and not others. Mine always saves the pharmacy.

Same here. Actually, I would like it to save 2 local pharmacies if desired.

Personally, I'd love to see the system be able to hold both a local pharmacy and a mail order. Although we can look up the last pharmacies used in the transaction log, I still often find the pharmacies disappearing from there, even right after I've just sent the e-script.

Do you mean saves the pharmacy in the Demographics section? So you have to click from the e-script screen back to the Demo screen for this?

Have affected offices tried an uninstall and reinstall?

Don't know. No one has said. I doubt that would help. One should never have to uninstall and reinstall, though.

We started getting this error now, and not just the pharmacy. Anyone else had demographics just zero out as well? That seems to be happening along with the preferred pharmacy.

Hi folks,

We have our version 6.2 in Pre-Beta testing at this time.
Good news is, this issue should be fixed in 6.2.
This is from the preliminary list of fixes.
"-Preferred pharmacy selected on Demographics will now always display when prescribing a medication"

Thank you,

Any chance there will be the option of a mail order vs local pharmacy?

At this time I know of no plans to have an option for a local pharmacy and a mail order pharmacy.
Anybody interested in have that option please submit a request in Recommend Improvements. You can find this from the "Help" button on the main pace of Amazing Charts.

Thank you,

The option to have more than one pharmacy has been requested repeatedly by AC users. Sigh.... frown

Anthony, it has indeed been requested by multiple users both on the userboard and in the program.
Thank you.

Once again, it is difficult to believe AC has not been aware of this request by multiple users on multiple occasions...particularly now that tech support is monitoring the boards. PLEASE!!!!!! FIX THIS!!!

It has been "imminent" for a month.

Ah...so not for a bit then, huh? I also second the two pharmacies for mail-ins and local. I hate having to switch out in the pt chart for this. Dr. keeps calling me into rooms to tell him which e-mail in is correct (CVS is particularly tricky on this count as is Prime Mail). It would be nice if this could be resolved!

If they have not released it, it is with good reason.

To rework my statement from an earlier post, it is amazing how you change one area of a program and problems pop up in a completely different direction.

They should NOT release a "whine" before it's time.

The problem I am having with the scripts is not the pharmacy staying put, but getting calls repeatedly stating that the prescription never makes it to the pharmacy, is anyone else having that problem? I have to send the rx several times to get it to send or I end up getting pissed and just faxing or calling it in, what good is escribing if you have to call or fax???

Grace that sounds like an issue for Angel Support. You are correct, that makes no sense to use ERx if you have to call it in or fax it. Our ERx works every time.
Consider asking AC to remote in and fix whatever is not set up correctly.

Grace,

In the main window, go under E-Prescribing = Prescription status...

Make sure on the last three columns, it reads Electronic, Verified and Prescription in the columns: Transmit Method, Status and Type.

If instead, it says Fax, Success then NewCrop does not have you set up correctly, and you will have about a 70% success rate. AC support can fix this easily.
