We do not plan on using the scheduling or the Superbill or billing function at all in AC. Our schedule is set up in our billing program and we use a check sheet to add charges into our billing program. Will this impact anything in AC or for Meaningful Use?
Thanks

No, but there is one thing you must do that is related. When documenting a patient encounter, you click "Sign Off" and are then brought to the Coding screen. In order to have the system give you MU credit, you must check off a CPT code. It's enough to click the CPT for the office visit. We don't do this for billing purposes, but for MU.

Peter, to agree with what John says, and slightly expand upon it: many of us do not use the AC superbill, and some do not use the scheduler. The only impact I can see would on MU cqm's. (It has no effect on the core or menu items). For the cqm's to register an encounter, you must put in a cpt code, preferably when you sign the note. The cpt need not be accurate (it does not have to match the actual billing) but does need to be entered.
