No sure where to post this Question.
Currently when Patient Demographics are updated with the "update" button, this makes available the patient's new up to date demographics for the Laboratory Information System.
Is there a way to initiate this update accross all patient's in the Amazing Charts Data base, instead of having to do it patient by patient?

Thank you

We use Labcorp and there is a "bridge" between the two, so when a patient comes in for labs, the new data is pulled over the bridge at that time to the Labcorp system.

We also have a LabCorp interface. I am not sure how often the LabCorp database synchronizes with AC, but each time it does, my understanding is that it looks at the entire AC database. In other words, there is no need to do it patient by patient.

Thank you for your replies.
The only thing that seems to update the lab system is when the Front office when they register and/or and update the patient demographics and then push the update button.
Now they are using a third party sofware for Demographics that pushes
Hmmm, not sure what to do next.
I was hoping there was a global method to update the demographics,

I don't know how the labcorp interface is set up, but usually it is the interface that does the patient matching-- Labcorp sends an HL7 file based upon your order and IP address, and the interface that was built by AC does patient matching based upon data in the HL7 file. I doubt that Labcorp actually gets sync'd with your database, as there could be significant HIPAA issues.

The current situation:
1. Clinic Front desk enters/updates patient demographics in Healthwind Insight.
2. Healthwind Insight pushes it over to Amazing Charts automatically.
3. This new demographic information just sits in Amazing Charts. Unless someone manually pushes the update button on the patient's demographics tab/page.
4. As a result patient demographics are no longer automatically pushed into the 4medica demographics interface.
5. So 4medica is unable to update patient demographics unless someone manually push the patient demographic update button in AC.

Is there a way to automate the Updating of Patient's demographics in Amazing Charts, the updated demographics will cross over without a manually pushing the update button.

Thanks
