Hi to all,

I've been reading the board last week, downloaded the trial over the weekend, made my wife become patient #1, and like what I see. I will not put patients charts into the database before we get a license. I have downloaded the trial to my workstation at work, not my server.

If I make a lot of templates, will these be preserved when I want to put the database on my server with the license?

Is there anything a newbie should know at the beginning of the trial that would be helpful for the conversion later?

yes your templates will stay when you get the license....7 yrs ago or so I used the trial version for almost 4 months and 1 Sunday it said time to pay some bucks...so I did and in 10 min I was again up and running like nothing changed at all....there are templates available to take/trade..you will find everyone on this board willing to help...my only advise is to never undersize your hardware and keep up on upgrades,,,and Rogain doesnt work....todd

Thanks todd.

I'll assume my little wrinkle of needing to move the SQL back end from a workstation to the server, versus a fresh install on the server and then needing to add the personalized templates, will not be a problem in the future.

you are right, that will not be a problem.
Search the old posts for "new user" or "new to AC" and similar searches like this. You'll find a number of great posts from users that went through the conversion process.

Put all your questions here on the AC User Board. There are tons of people ready and willing to help.

If you buy, welcome to AC.
