How often does last note backup...well...backup? I had an incident today where I lost connection to the main computer and AC crashed. My note was saved, but from the point when I first opened it, not with any of the new patient information I has just written in. Is there a way to have it backup every minutes or so? I really hate it when this happens - especially on new patients!

This happens to me whenever it crashes, I rarely have my note saved within seconds of the last words typed. No way to my knowledge to reset the rate at which the text is autosaved. If there is, someone please share.

The LastNoteBackUp.txt file is generated each time you have a patient window open. It updates itself as you move from field to field within the most recent encounter. That help?

thanks for the reply, but I've unfortunately experienced many times where the note was not saved after inputting several different data fields. 50% of the time I get everything saved, 50% of the time nothing or not much. Often it will save the text, but not the patient's name. So I have a "dumby" chart with no name/DOB/patient ID, but all the text preserved.
So I create a .txt file, copy and paste each field, then recreate that patient's note by copying and pasting these texts back into the note.
