1.One of the requirement for annual wellness visit is keeping a list of consultants, the patient is seeing. Instead of typing the names in progress notes is it possible to import from Rolodex, if so how to do this. 2.Second in prescription section would like to see an option for a "button" to get only PO, IV or Topical or all. Other problem is combination medication, one such Example is Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) to fish this from the list is quite eye straining.Regarding IV medication these are not prescribed often in the office setting, there use is the formulary is limited. When I go to prescribe Warfarin and see IV Warfarin makes first on the list!! Lastly most of the physicians have a list of medications they are familiar with and frequently prescribe. A button to make preferred formulary may solve this problem as well.Posted for input and suggestions. Thanks.

Hi ahmed, I know of no way of importing consultants into AC for what you are describing. Could you have your staff enter them in every time they make a referral maybe at a certain point like when they get the date so it is always in there. There is a section under Demographics for consultants under the Consults and Referrals tab. Someone else may know a better way. I am a firm believer in having staff do things that, while it takes extra time, still gets the job done. The Rolodex has been an issue since day one for many reasons. I don't think you will ever get a button for PO, IV, etc., although would be a good idea. These medications are taken from the SureScripts database, and they would likely have to do something like this. But, I doubt it will ever get done, and I don't think AC has any control over it. ![[Linked Image from ]](/ub/attachments/usergals/2012/02/full-4-140-meds.png) I don't think you are quite describing this, but meds that you prescribe a lot do come up in a drop down list that you can choose from. You can also click in the regular, larger white box to get to all the medications. There are some limitations to ePrescribe, although it is infinitely better than before. What irks me the most is how some Brand name drugs aren't listed such as Augmentin ES. You have to know to actually go to clavulinic acid/amoxicillin, etc. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I lied about one thing. You can use the Rolodex under Demographics as shown. ![[Linked Image from ]](/ub/attachments/usergals/2012/02/full-4-144-rolodex.png) ![[Linked Image from ]](/ub/attachments/usergals/2012/02/full-4-145-recording_consultant.png)

I just have a section on my Medicare Wellness Visit template where I type after asking them what other specialists they are seeing. In the plan section, I fill out the preventive plan that is required and the template indicates, for instance:
Eye Exam Yearly for Glaucoma Check: See Dr. So Andso

Dr. Amato is one of our favorite geneticists. The only genetics expert that I've ever heard of to never order karyotypes. It's like the endocrinologist who never orders HbA1C's on diabetics! Nice example Bert...
