Question to anyone who might know - new machines are 64 bit Windows 7 PRO on a peer to peer network. Tried to install Peachtree which have used for checkbook, acct for years - will not run and says must buy new premium version since on a computer using terminal services. Don't use TS, but need to know if this is a problem with Windows 7 PRO making it think I am using it and if so is there a workaround -new peachtree is like $400 for nothing more than entering checkbook for accountant.

Terminal Services are essentially Remote Desktop Services. Yes they run on the Pro versions of Win 7.

How do you turn it off ? I don't use it and it prevents the program from running.

I'm not sure, but it should not be running by default.
In the control panel, administrative tools, services, turn off the remote desktop services, there are 3 different services.
