I saw a 3 yr old just now and I ALMOST forgot to put their smoking status as "never smoker". Good thing I checked the meaningful use status or I would have forgotten that vital piece of information

Kids are starting to smoke earlier and earlier despite all the millions spent to prevent smoking.

I don't do the MU but have smoking status on all my adult patients. I didn't need them to tell me to do it.
