has anypne else gotten this message about not being able to verify account status? It is popping up now and threatening to SHUT DOWN MY AMAZING CHARTS. I have been using amazing charts from 2003 and now I guess they want some more money what other reason is there for this message? I called and of course have not been ble to reach anyone yet.

Who does this seem to be coming from??? AC, Microsoft, someone else, not sure who yet? Have you stayed up on your updates and your annual renewals I presume? If so it could either be a clerical error back at the AC home office that is easy to fix or someone who is pretending to be AC some how to try and get your credit card info I might guess?
You are right in be safe and going slowly. I'd be curious to see what AC does say to you. I hope someone hasn't gotten all of our info some how from here or elsewhere. Have you gone to and regisitered at any other places like EMR updates and the like who might also know who your EMR vendor is? Just a thought... Good luck and keep us all in the loop as you figure it out....

Hmmm...that's a new one to me, but I've only been using the program for about 18 months.
Let us know if you figure it out.

Um, CPCDOC? You got a name? Maybe some contact information?
I'd LIKE to help you figure out this out, but your profile is empty.
What version of Amazing Charts are you running? Do you have a support agreement with them? Does the computer running AC have internet access?
The latest release "phones home" - we're not thrilled about it, but I can understand Jon's reasons for it. The message you're getting though isn't that your license is expired - which by the way I've NEVER heard of happening, even though the current EULA says CAN happen. You're saying that it "can't verify" the license, which if I understand that part of the source code correctly means that ET (or in this case AC) is trying to phone home, and can't.
If you haven't been able to reach technical support at Amazing Charts, send me a private message with how to get in contact with you and I'll help you troubleshoot this.

Hi Gang. I got a response by instant messenger from Jon about this:
(2:24:49 PM) JB: Actually, the point of the check home is to allow us to turn on lab interfaces automatically and prevent users from having to pay if we've not gotten the lab check before it times out. (2:25:12 PM) JB: If they don't have internet access, they can call us and we can give them a code that allows them to access the data. (2:26:17 PM) JB: if they have internet access, and enter their email address that we have on file, it automates the process. (2:26:17 PM) JB: and only those whose license is off will have difficulty.
Regards,
V.

Vinny, This brings up an interesting point about the labs here. Is there now a "standard" procedure for us users to implement this? We've all heard about the Lab now paying for the AC activation so what is the step by step set up here? Who do we contact first second and third? Lab or AC first, so on and so forth? Do we activate the trial lab thing first? You get the idea here. Thanks much for all your moderator assistance. We all know you have your own crazy struggling primary care office to run. Paul

ROY:
I'm also curious about this "subscription" versus "non-subscription" issue. Has this never been explicitly stated?
PAUL:
Questions about the lab interface are "off-topic" here, and should probably be posted as a separate topic so others would be able to find the information easily.
However, I will tell you that I have not gotten charged anything for my interface with Labcorp yet. Installation of the bridge, installation of a new Ethernet drop, have all been "no charge" so far. We have just gotten the two-way interface working, so I can't reviewed the service yet. I was planning on a major post after I have had a little time to judge the service.

Brian, We a drowning in paper like labs like most regular offices. I am very interested how your interface is working as I'm sure many others are as well. Even a quick first impression update would be much apperciated. Thanks.... Paul

Labcorp interface works like a charm. Quest works well, but sometimes fails to highlight abnormalities and then sometimes highlights normal results.
We actually submit our Labcorp labs through our Quest computer now. All were installed at no charge.

Yes, the Quest computer is a stand-alone unit installed in the lab.
