Hi! I have just signed up for trial usage. Is anyone using a midlevel provider? I can't figure out how to list them in administration. My NP will require 100% co-sig of charts, but not co-sig for labs/scripts. If I list them as mid-level, requiring co-sig for charts, not only am I required to co-sig all charts (which is the goal), I also will receive all their ordered labs to my inbox (definitely not the goal), and all prescriptions will need to be signed off by me as well, prior to pharmacy filling, I believe (definitely not the goal). If I list them as a the top-level provider, they can sign off on their own labs and scripts, but then cannot set me to have them sign off their charts. I want to be able to leave the practice for a short time in the hands of the NP. Can anyone tell me what is standard practice for integrating mid-levels using Amazing Charts? And please tell me if I have any of these facts wrong; it is all based upon my current understanding. Thank you!

If you are trialing a 5.1.x version, a new feature is you should be able to delegate ePrescribing. So one question pivots on what version you have.

Our PA's are set up as providers with full privileges (and of course we have to buy their licenses). They could simply forward charts to you for review and you add an addendum.

If they are set as mid-levels, they can do their own prescribing. I am understanding that in 5.1, anyone can.

Texas requires providers name and address on all scripts (even e-Rx) from midlevel. How can that be put in using amazing charts (or thorugh Sure Scripts)?

Version 6.1.1 adds the supervisor to the information sent to Surescripts as long as the midlevel providers user info has the supervisor set. You can review the midlevels user setting in Administrator Options.
Printed scripts will also show the supervising provider.

We have our PA's set to provider status. You could have your NP forward all their charts for your co-signature. Just make a template that you reviewed the chart and agree with the assessment and plan. Add this as an addendum to the chart note.
